Hábitos alimenticios y actividad física en relación a la obesidad infantil. Una revisión sistemática.

    Ante las inquietantes cifras de obesidad infantil a nivel mundial, se ha demostrado que diversos factores modificables son los principales determinantes de la misma, encontrando entre ellos los bajos niveles de actividad física y los inadecuados hábitos alimenticios. Por ello, se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática, con la finalidad de analizar la relación existente entre las tres variables. Para ello, se consideró la declaración PRISMA, utilizando la base de datos de Web of Science (WOS), con el objetivo de efectuar la búsqueda de artículos. Se tuvo en cuenta los estudios publicados entre 2018-01-01 y 2023-03-01, identificando así 64 artículos, de los cuales, tras someterlos a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, quedaron un total de 15 artículos. Finalmente, una vez realizado el análisis de la selección final, se halló que la actividad física y los hábitos alimenticios actúan como incentivos beneficiosos para la obesidad infantil, aunque no en la misma medida.

    In view of the worrying figures for childhood obesity worldwide, several modifiable factors have been shown to be the main determinants of obesity, including low levels of physical activity and inadequate dietary habits. Therefore, a systematic review was carried out in order to analyse the relationship between the three variables. To this end, the PRISMA statement was considered, using the Web of Science (WOS) database, with the aim of searching for articles. Studies published between 2018-01- 01 and 2023-03-01 were taken into account, thus identifying 64 articles, of which, after submitting them to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 15 articles remained. Finally, once the analysis of the final selection had been carried out, it was found that physical activity and eating habits act as beneficial incentives for childhood obesity, although not to the same extent.
