    La británica Claude Kinnoull (1904-1985), cosmopolita, rica heredera, divorciada de un noble, financiadora de proyectos de propaganda católica y política, enamorada de la aventura, es la fotógrafa Claudek. Una fotorreportera de mirada vehemente que, entre 1936 y 1939, recorrió Gernika, Durango, Eibar, Málaga, Belchite o Toledo, entre otros, con la intención de proporcionar argumentos sobre «la barbarie de las hordas marxistas». Sin embargo, lo que muestra sin saberlo es la realidad de la destrucción sistemática, diseñada y perpretada por el bando franquista y sus aliados, a través de imágenes pobladas de personas de toda condición y edad, vivas o muertas, desahuciadas por la «didáctica del terror» impuesta por el bando rebelde durante la guerra civil española.

    The wealthy British heiress Claude Kinnoull (1904-1985)–cosmopolitan, divorced from a nobleman, financier of Catholic and political propaganda projects, and enamored with adventure–is thephotographer known as «Claudek.» A photojournalist with a vehement gaze, she traveled throughGernika, Durango, Eibar, Málaga, Belchite, and Toledo, among other places, between 1936 and1939, with the intention of advancing arguments about and providing evidence of «the barbarismof the Marxist hordes». However, and unwittingly, what she reveals instead is the reality of the systematic destruction designed and perpetrated by the Francoist faction and its allies, through imagespopulated by people of all conditions and ages, dead or alive, evicted by the rebels’ imposition ofwhat has frequently been termed «the didactics of terror» during the Spanish Civil War
