    El astillero IZAR-Cartagena, empresa española líder de la construcción naval militar, para garantizar su posición altamente competitiva en el mercado internacional se ha visto obligada a introducir la tecnología de Ingeniería Concurrente para la ejecución de sus proyectos.

    En este artículo se presentan los cambios del entorno de Ingeniería Concurrente que se han producido en la empresa. Además se indicarán los aspectos críticos de la implantación de la tecnología de Ingeniería Concurrente en la factoría

    IZAR-Cartagena is a spanish shipbuilding company which is leader of warships. In order to guarantee its highly competitive position in the international market it has been forced to apply the Concurrent Engineering for the development of its projects.

    In this article we are going to present the changes of the environment of Concurrent Engineering, those have taken place in the company. The critical aspects of the Concurrent Engineering implementation will also be presented.
