The objective of this study is to carry out a theoretical survey on the theory of measurement, in order to define how it is developed in studies related to the area of mathematics and accounting. In this field of mathematics, measurement becomes the intersection between the empirical field and the theoretical field, for example, using mathematics and statistics to design scenarios and explain events. In the accounting field, the objective is to highlight the object or event to be measured, generally understanding is linked to the same instrument; the equity. The theoretical relations that involve the measurement theory have different applicabilities, since it is not considered a single model that contains qualities that meet all the needs

O presente estudo tem como objetivo realizar um levantamento teórico sobre a teoria da mensuração, a fim de definir como a mesma se desenvolve em estudos ligados à área da matemática e da contabilidade. Deste modo campo da matemática, a mensuração se coloca como a intersecção entre o campo empírico e o campo teórico, adotando, por exemplo, a matemática e a estatística para projetar cenários e explicar eventos. Já no campo contábil, o objetivo é evidenciar o objeto ou evento a ser mensurado, geralmente à compreensão está ligada ao mesmo instrumento; o patrimônio. As relações teóricas que envolvem a teoria da mensuração possuem aplicabilidades diversas, visto que não se considera um modelo único que contenha qualidades que atenda a todas as necessidades
