  • The values common to the Member States of the European Union under Article 2 TEU are under review, in particular the value of the rule of law. A comparison is made with the values of the Statute of the Council of Europe and the European Convention of Human Rights. The examination focuses on the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice EU and the relevance of its rulings also in national legal systems.
