Este ensayo permite al lector apreciar los diferentes ritos y costumbres ancestrales que han podido subsistir en pleno siglo XXI, rastreando sus orígenes como muestra de sincretismo gracias al catolicismo. Además, se pone como ejemplo concreto la festividad de Santa Águeda, que tiene lugar en la localidad vallisoletana de Tiedra, mostrando las particularidades de la misma y cómo lo viven sus habitantes.

This essay allows the reader to appreciate the different ancient rites and customs which have survived until the 21st century, tracing their origins as a sample of syncretism thanks to the Catholicism. Moreover, it is shown as an example the festivity of St. Agatha, which takes place in the Castilian village of Tiedra, showing the particularities of it and how their inhabitants live it.
