Barriales vegetation from northern central Neuquén province. The results of a phytosociologicalstudy of the Barriales vegetation from northern central Neuquén province, where the Halophytum ameghinoisucculent therophyto dominates, are presented in this paper. A new plant association, which grows in gentle-slopeendoreic basins characterized by fine sediments and the presence of temporary waters, is described. After analyzingthe field and bibliographical data, we argue the syntaxonomic pertinence of the new plant association, its ecologicalcharacterization, floristic composition and chorology.
