  • Five new species of the bee genus Brachyglossula Hedicke (Hymenoptera, Colletidae). Five species of the South American genus Brachyglossula Hedicke are described as new: communis, leucothorax, martinezi, stolorum, and virescens. These bees occur in Peru, Bolivia, and western Argentina. Allometric morphological variation realated to size is studied in two species, by means of several linear measurements. Descriptions of the species and illustrations are provided
