Resumen de Primer registro de “Nerocila acuminata” (Crustacea: Isopoda), como ectoparásito del pez “Xanthichthys ringens” (Pisces: Balistidae)

  Se presenta por vez primera la asociación de Nerocila acuminata Schioedte & Meinert, 1881, Isopoda: Cymothoidae, parasitando al pez Xanthichthys ringens, (Linnaeus, 1758), Pisces: Balistidae. El material estudiado proviene de la fauna de acompañamiento de la pesca artesanal de camarón, realizada entre Playa Rica y Laguna Verde, Veracruz, México. Se ofrecen además una diagnosis del isópodo, así como dos figuras de esta asociación.

  The association of Nerocila acuminata Schioedte & Meinert, 1881, Isopoda: Cymothoidae, parasitizing the fish Xanthichthys ringens, (Linnaeus, 1758), Pisces: Balistidae is presented for the first time. The material studied comes from the accompanying fauna of artisanal shrimp fishing, carried out between Playa Rica and Laguna Verde, Veracruz, Mexico. A diagnosis of the isopod is also offered, as well as two figures from this association
