  • Resumen
    • The purpose of this investigation was to isolate behaviors predictive of male and female democratic leadership. Subjects identified by the Sargent and Miller Leadership Questionnaire as democratic leaders conducted group discussions while observers recorded their behaviors using Bales' IPA system. Results indicated that male and female democratic leaders behave differently: the former were found to have a predominantly negative socio‐emotional and task orientation, whereas the latter were found to have a predominantly positive socio‐emotional orientation.
