Resumen de Los fondos de la Universidad de Mareantes y del Real Colegio Seminario de San Telmo en el Archivo Histórico de la Universidad de Sevilla

Dentro de los fondos que se custodian en el Archivo Histórico de la Universidad de Sevilla destacan los de la Universidad de Mareantes (1569-1793) y Real Colegio Seminario de San Telmo de Sevilla (1681-1847) por su importancia para la historia, no solo de la ciudad de Sevilla, sino de la Carrera de Indias y de la marina española. En el presente artículo se realiza una breve descripción histórica de ambas instituciones y se detallan las principales series documentales de sus fondos. Por último, se expone el estado actual de su proyecto de digitalización y se incluye un resumen del inventario de la documentación.

Among the documentary fonds that are kept in the Historical Archive of the University of Seville, those of the University of Mareantes (1569-1793) and the Real Colegio Seminario de San Telmo de Sevilla (1681-1847) stand out due to their importance for history, not only of the city of Seville, but of the Carrera de Indias and the Spanish Navy. In this article a brief historical description of both institutions is made, and the main documentary series of their collections are detailed. Finally, the current status of the collection digitization project is exposed, and a brief inventory of the documentation is included
