Por estemotivo, nos propusimosestudiarlos sistemas de saludalemán y españolen el contextodela seguridad socialy los modelos existentes, analizándolosy comparándolos,paradeterminar, finalmente,sus diferencias y similitudes, cuyo conocimiento serviráde apoyoal traductor médico alemán-español

There is no doubt that the mobility of people has increased over the lastdecades and,thus,the need for translations such as those of medical-legal documentsin the German-Spanish language pair. In order to obtaina translationofquality, the medical translator needsa thorough knowledge of the respectivefield, not only in Medicinein its strictest sense, but also regarding thehealthcaresystem the text refersto. Therefore, we aimed tostudytheGerman and Spanish health caresystems within the social security system and the existing models, analysing and comparing them, todetermine their differences and similarities, knowledge of which is intended to serve as a support for the German-Spanish medical translator.
