El presente artículo analiza todos los testimonios en torno a la risa dentro de la literatura médica griega. Así, las referencias de Hipócrates y Galeno sobre tal manifestación física, sea voluntaria o espontánea, son esenciales para observar su origen, ejecución y vínculo a determinadas patologías, con la finalidad de aportar una visión desde el ámbito de la medicina antigua.
The present paper analyzes all the testimonies about laughter in the Greek medical literature. Thus, the references of Hippocrates and Galen on such a physical manifestation, whether voluntary or spontaneous, are essential to observe its origin, executions and link to certain pathologies, in order to provide an approach from the field of ancient medicine.
