La Policía Nacional, con la colaboración de archivos, bibliotecas, museos, universidades y otros centros especializados,ha desarrollado actuaciones en todo el territorio nacional que han permitido, mediante intervenciónde la Justicia, recuperar miles de piezas del patrimonio histórico que poseen un valor incalculable. El presenteartículo trata de explicar las funciones y competencias de los Delegados de Patrimonio Histórico de la PolicíaNacional en toda la geografía española, concretamente el trabajo del Delegado de Patrimonio Histórico de laJefatura Superior de Policía de la Región de Murcia, con la exposición de casos de éxito en la recuperación yprotección del patrimonio cultural.

The National Police, with the collaboration of archives, libraries, museums, universities and other specialized centers,has developed actions throughout the national territory that have allowed, through the intervention of Justice,tore cover thousands of pieces of historical heritage that have incalculable value. This article tries to explain thefunctions and powers of the Historical Heritage Delegates of the National Police throughout the Spanish geography,specifically the work of the Historical Heritage Delegate of the Superior Police Headquarters of the Region ofMurcia, with the exposition of success stories in the recovery and protection of cultural heritage.
