Resumen de Parámetros fotográficos para el diagnóstico ortodóncico: Revisión de la literatura

  Introducción: En la actualidad por la alta cantidad de profesionales en el área de Ortodoncia orientados a realizar un análisis completo e integral de la historia clínica del paciente es indispensable contar con protocolos de principios diagnósticos en los que se pueda confiar, los registros fotográficos son uno de ellos, pero existen diferentes criterios en cuanto a su estandarización. Al conocer a profundidad las consideraciones para realizar un correcto registro fotográfico, se podrá recomendar a todos los profesionales en Ortodoncia e incluso en otras áreas odontológicas un método sencillo complementario de registro. Por tal motivo en este artículo se presenta la revisión de la literatura respecto a los principales parámetros fotográficos para el diagnóstico ortodóncico. Objetivo: Establecer los parámetros fotográficos para el diagnóstico ortodóncico. Materiales y Métodos: La selección de la literatura se realizó a través de una pesquisa en las bases electrónicas de datos: Google Academic, Pubmed, Taylor & Francis, Nature, Springer. Se emplearon las palabras clave: protocolo, fotografía dental clínica, fotografía dental, ortodoncia.  La investigación se realizó con información desde el año 2012 al 2022 incluyendo todos los idiomas. Resultados: Al emplear los criterios de inclusión se obtuvieron y revisaron 8 artículos en total. La revisión de literatura de parámetros fotográficos para el diagnóstico ortodóncico se realizó. Conclusión: La literatura disponible actual reveló que no existe un parámetro estandarizado que sea empleado universalmente para realizar los registros fotográficos al momento de iniciar un tratamiento de Ortodoncia con el diagnóstico.

  Introduction: Currently, due to the high number of professionals in the area of Orthodontics oriented to carry out a complete and comprehensive analysis of the patient's clinical history, it is essential to have protocols of diagnostic principles that can be trusted, photographic records are one of them, but there are different criteria regarding their standardization. By knowing in depth the considerations for making a correct photographic record, a simple complementary recording method can be recommended to all professionals in Orthodontics and even in other dental areas.

  For this reason, this article presents a review of the literature regarding the main photographic parameters for orthodontic diagnosis. Objective: Establish the photographic parameters for orthodontic diagnosis. Materials and Methods: The selection of the literature was carried out through a search in the electronic databases: Google Academic, Pubmed, Taylor & Francis, Nature, Springer. The keywords were used: protocol, clinical dental photography, dental photography, orthodontics. The research was carried out with information from the year 2012 to 2022, including all languages. Results: By using the inclusion criteria, a total of 8 articles were obtained and reviewed. Literature review of photographic parameters for orthodontic diagnosis was performed.

  Conclusion: The current available literature revealed that there is no standardized parameter that is universally used to make photographic records at the time of starting an orthodontic treatment with the diagnosis.
