    La actual investigación presenta el análisis estadístico numérico sobre el estudio de pertinencia realizado para la carrera de Tecnología Superior en Mecánica Industrial del  Instituto Superior Tecnológico General Eloy Alfaro (ISTGEA), el mismo que busca justificar la razón de ser de la carrera, siendo un ente que aporte a la matriz productiva de la región, con la finalidad de contribuir a ser un país no únicamente generador de materia prima, con extracción intensa de recursos naturales e importador, para pasar a privilegiar una economía basada en la exportación de una producción diversificada, eco eficiente, con valor agregado, así como con servicios basados en la economía del conocimiento y en la biodiversidad. Fundamentando en una revisión documental, planes de desarrollo nacional y local, aplicación jurídica de la normativa referente a Educación Superior en el Ecuador, lineamientos de las instituciones de estado como la SENESCYT y CES, presentación, discución y conclusiones de los resultados numéricos obtenidos. Por lo que, bajo la resolución RPC-SO-10-No.277-2021 del CES, dispuso aprobar el proyecto de creación de la carrera de tercer nivel técnico - tecnológico superior, presentada por el ISTGEA, esto muestra la efectividad de los datos estadísticos levantados del actual estudio de pertinencia, el mismo que formó parte del proyecto en mención.

    The current investigation presents the numerical statistical analysis on the relevance study carried out for the Higher Technology in Industrial Mechanics career of the General Eloy Alfaro Higher Technological Institute (ISTGEA), the same one that seeks to justify the raison d'être of the career, being an entity that contributes to the productive matrix of the region, in order to contribute to being a country that is not only a producer of raw materials, with an intense extraction of natural resources and an importer, in order to privilege an economy based on the export of diversified production, eco-efficient, with added value, as well as services based on the knowledge economy and biodiversity. Based on a documentary review, national and local development plans, legal application of the regulations regarding Higher Education in Ecuador, guidelines of state institutions such as SENESCYT and CES, presentation, discussion and conclusions of the obtained numerical results. Therefore, under resolution RPC-SO-10-No.277-2021 of the CES, it decided to approve the project for the creation of the third technical - technological level career, presented by the ISTGEA, this shows the effectiveness of the data statistics collected from the current study of relevance, the same one that was part of the project in question.
