    Se conoce que el turismo comunitario representa una oportunidad de generación de ingresos y de desarrollo para comunidades rurales con atractivos turísticos tanto naturales como culturales.  En este contexto en la parroquia rural Pedro Pablo Gómez se han realizados iniciativas de turismo comunitario que a pesar de los esfuerzo de sus pobladores que se dedican a esta actividad se le han presentado algunas problemáticas, destacándose la emergencia sanitaria del Covid- 19 y la deficiente adaptación de las actividades turísticas comunitarias enfocadas a este nuevo entorno disruptivo que ha afectado este sector económico, así como el poco apoyo por parte de instituciones del estado por promover a la comunidad como un potencial turístico, la débil formación académica de los habitantes, con relación a lo mencionado se realizó el presente trabajo investigativo, teniendo como objetivo demostrar de qué manera el turismo comunitario influye en la reactivación económica de los habitantes de la parroquia rural Pedro Pablo Gómez. En la investigación se utilizó los métodos deductivo, inductivo, bibliográfico y estadístico, además de técnicas para la recopilación de información como la encuesta, entrevista  y observación misma que facilitaron la obtención de información relevante descritas en los resultados, en este contexto se manifiesta que no cuenta con una buena promoción del turismo se  menciona que el turismo contribuye al desarrollo socioeconómico de la parroquia y que las cascadas de La Cabuya,  Maryland y la comuna Casas viejas tienen un potencial para desarrollar el turismo comunitario por su riqueza natural y cultural respectivamente.

    It is known that community tourism represents an opportunity to generate income and development for rural communities with both natural and cultural tourist attractions. In this context, in the rural parish of Pedro Pablo Gómez, community tourism initiatives have been carried out that, despite the efforts of its inhabitants who are dedicated to this activity, have presented some problems, highlighting the health emergency of Covid-19 and the deficient adaptation of community tourism activities focused on this new disruptive environment that has affected this economic sector, as well as the little support from state institutions to promote the community as a tourism potential, the weak academic training of the inhabitants, in relation to To the aforementioned, the present investigative work was carried out, with the objective of demonstrating how community tourism influences the economic reactivation of the inhabitants of the rural parish Pedro Pablo Gómez. In the investigation, the deductive, inductive, bibliographical and statistical methods were used, in addition to techniques for the collection of information such as the survey, interview and observation itself that facilitated the obtaining of relevant information described in the results, in this context it is stated that It has a good promotion of tourism, it is mentioned that tourism contributes to the socioeconomic development of the parish and that the waterfalls of La Cabuya, Maryland and the Casas Viejas commune have a potential to develop community tourism due to their natural and cultural wealth respectively.
