    El turismo es una actividad que ha venido creciendo de forma continua en los últimos años. No obstante, como actividad tiene sus efectos negativos y positivos. En un marco de transformación de las políticas mundiales, especialmente las europeas, donde el desarrollo sostenible se convierte en el objetivo principal para los próximos años, el turismo se enfrenta a algunos desafíos importantes, más si cabe, cuando en estos tres últimos años, todavía no ha logrado alcanzar las cifras en niveles prepandémicos. Este artículo tiene por objetivo plantear una serie de retos y desafíos para la actividad turística en un contexto muy diferente al que teníamos hace tres años.

    Tourism is an activity that has been growing steadily in recent years. However, as an activity, it has its negative and positive effects. In a framework of transformation of the world and, especially European policies, where sustainable development becomes the main objective for the coming years, tourism faces some important challenges, even more so when in the last three years; it has not yet managed to reach pre-pandemic levels. This article aims to set out a series of challenges for tourism activity in a very different context to the one we had three years ago.
