Resumen de Oportunidades y desafíos: una mirada holística a las iniciativas y proyectos en curso para ciudades inteligentes en Colombia y Medellín

  Las ciudades inteligentes son entornos de desarrollo que permiten mejorar la calidad de vida de sus habitantes y hacer un mejor uso de los recursos naturales, usando Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación. Actualmente a nivel mundial existe un fuerte interés desde esferas gubernamentales, organizaciones sociales y ambientales por la implementación de tecnologías que permitan mejorar el entorno, acercándose a ciudades inteligentes, abordando problemáticas actuales como movilidad inteligente, ambiente inteligente, seguridad y transparencia, entre otras.

  Es importante entender que, si bien la solución actual es adaptar soluciones inteligentes a ciudades ya existentes, es conveniente resaltar el diseño de ciudades del futuro, las cuales sean parte del entorno y aprovechen su situación geográfica, que posean aspectos constructivos inteligentes, pensándose desde el inicio en ciudades futuristas y no solo adaptándolas a las necesidades del momento.

  Smart cities are development environments that improve the quality of life of their inhabitants and make better use of natural resources, using Information and Communication Technologies. Currently worldwide there is strong interest from governmental spheres, social and environmental organizations for the implementation of technologies that allow improving the environment, approaching smart cities, addressing current problems such as smart mobility, smart environment, security and transparency, among others.

  It is important to understand that, although the current solution is to adapt smart solutions to existing cities, it is convenient to highlight the design of cities of the future, which are part of the environment and take advantage of their geographical location, which have intelligent construction aspects, thinking from the I started in futuristic cities and not only adapting them to the needs of the moment.
