The work we present here, it is part of the research we developed in the Red de Innovación Docente en ELE para la formación del profesorado de educación no universitaria, in the Facultad de Educación of the.
Universidad de Alicante. This group has been created to focus research on teaching Spanish as a foreign language in Primary Education. The immigrant’s arrival to Spain, over the last two decades, has meant the schooling of many children. For this reason, it is very important to produce books but also, to revise existing ones according to European Union guidelines, in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for.
Languages, the Companion Volume and the European Language Portfolio for Primary and Secondary Education. Our group is working on the systematisation of analysis rubrics to guarantee the quality of these books before using them. Spanish publishers' books for this context focus on working on skills, vocabulary, reading and writing, integrating grammar into the tasks. Normally, authors look for playful activities with illustrations designed for a student aged 6-12 years. Each of these aspects requires careful and detailed study in order to validate their use in terms of objectives and content, thinking in the profile and level of the students. We present here the study of writing for the A2 level in some books.
