Resumen de La utilización de podcast en la enseñanza universitaria: una experiencia en el Grado en Historia del Arte de la Universidad de Salamanca

  • In recent years, the use of podcasts has become popular in different areas. It shows their multiple possibilities for the dissemination of knowledge and offers relevant advantages for the educational field and, particularly, for university teaching. For this reason, a Teaching Innovation and Improvement Project entitled “New tools for teaching Art History: the use of podcast (ID2021/016)” has been developed in the Degree in Art.

    History at the University of Salamanca. It proposes the use of this resource to expand the contents of various subjects, using them in practical classes and field trips, thus promoting the use of new technologies among students and integrating them into their training process. This seeks to encourage knowledge of the environment, promote the capacity for analysis and fostering their creative skills. In this way, the teaching staff has guided the realization of short podcasts that, carried out by small groups of students, have allowed exploring new areas of knowledge in the different subjects. Later, they were shared among the rest of the classmates.

    After exceeding the planned objectives, the results obtained have been excellent. They allow the activity to be valued positively and show the need to implement this type of tool in academic teaching, contributing to educational innovation at the University
