The emergence of COVID 19 posed a major challenge for university teaching. This chapter analyzes the concern of teachers to maintain the quality of critical thinking of students in subjects with economic content.
To this end, the use of the virtual and asynchronous discussion tool KialoEdu and its use in these subjects is analyzed. The profile of the students who have used it is analyzed through a questionnaire, where the suitability or not of this tool is analyzed from their own perception. The results show that this tool helps to improve academic performance; in fact, most of the students consulted prefer this tool for debate, instead of the traditional one. The tool is very appropriate to apply in the teaching of subjects with economic content and that it helps the acquisition and reinforcement of competencies, especially critical thinking. However, it is true that the time needed to implement it and the time that the student must dedicate to its use should also be evaluated.
