“Territorio es donde hay lucha”: sentidos sobre los territorios urbanos y rurales

    En abril de 2016 se realizó en Córdoba –República Argentina- el Segundo Taller de Universidad Popular de los Movimientos Sociales (UPCM), coordinado por Boaventura De Sousa Santos y organizado por la Secretaría de Extensión Universitaria (SEU) de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC). En el encuentro participaron veintiséis activistas y dirigentes de distintas regiones del país, que integran organizaciones y pertenecen a diferentes pueblos indígenas,cuyas luchas están vinculadas con la economía popular, los movimientos urbanos y rurales, y ambientalistas contra la megaminería. El eje del taller fue pensar el sentido de los territorios y las luchas que se construyen en torno a ellos. Este debate aportó parareflexionar colectivamente en relación a los aprendizajes, experiencias y estrategias de esas luchas, que ayudaron a fortalecerse, expresarse yarticularse con otros movimientos para disputar con diversos poderes hegemónicos. Recuperando lo debatido en el Taller, el objetivo de esteartículo es compartir un análisis sobre los sentidos en torno a los territorios,y los modos en que éstos se van reconfiguran como la lucha misma en el marco de las distintas estrategias y perspectivas de cada organización y de las/os participantes del Taller.

    In April 2016, the Second Workshop of the Popular University of Social Movements (UPCM), coordinated by Boaventura De Sousa Santos and organized by the University Extension Secretariat (SEU) of the National University of Córdoba (UNC), was held in Córdoba, Argentine Republic. Twenty-six activists and leaders from different regions of the country took part in the meeting. They are members of organizations belonging to different indigenous peoples, whose struggles are linked to the popular economy, urban and rural movements, and environmentalists against mega-mining. The axis of the workshop was to think about the meaning of the territories and the struggles that are built around them. This debate contributed to reflect collectively on the lessons learned, experiences and strategies of these struggles, which helped to strengthen, express and articulate with other movements to dispute with various hegemonic powers. Recovering what was debated in the Workshop, the objective of this article is to share an analysis of the senses around territories, and the ways in which these are reconfigured as the struggle itself within the framework of the different strategies and perspectives of each organization and of the participants of the Workshop.
