  Marc Prensky, en su ensayo publicado en 2004, “The death of command and control” (La muerte del mando y control) nos presentó un escenario donde convivían los nativos e inmigrantes digitales. Los primeros son aquellos que han nacido en un entorno ya tecnificado, mientras que los segundos son quienes han conocido la época previa y se han ido introduciendo en la sociedad red a medida que las TIC iban llegando a sus vidas. Sin embargo, diez años después, tenemos la perspectiva suficiente para determinar si el nativo digital existe o es un mito. Tras entrevistar en presencia a casi un mil adolescentes y analizar digitalmente los comportamientos de casi 3000, esta tesis afirma que el nativo digital no existe.

  Marc Prensky, in his essay published in 2004, “Death of command and control” presented a scenario where we lived natives and digital immigrants. The first are those who are born in an environment already modernize, while the latter are those who have known the previous period and have been introduced in the network society as ICT were coming into their lives. But ten years later, we have enough perspective to determine whether there is or is digital native a myth. After interviewing nearly a thousand in attendance adolescents and digitally analyzing the behavior of nearly 3000, this thesis argues that the digital native does not exist.
