    Denisse Pohls Pérez estudió en la Escuela de Periodismo Carlos Septién García, Ciudad de México. Ha realizado colaboraciones con la agencia internacional Associated Press (AP), Revista Replicante y Reforma. Aparte de ser fotoperiodista es escritora. En Cozumel, donde radica desde hace cuatro años, ha iniciado el movimiento de Poesía Itinerante para la difusión de los autores de la isla. De esta manera es como inicia su aventura fotográfica de la vida marina.  En las imágenes de Vida Marina, la fotógrafa captura la esencia de los animales y el momento preciso para realizar la fotografía. Una de las fotos más impactantes de este proyecto es una tortuga blanca que parece estar volando; el reflejo de la luz en el agua genera la apariencia de pequeñas nubes dispersas y, por la posición, las aletas de la tortuga se transforman en alas.

    Denisse Pohls Pérez studied at the Carlos Septién García School of Journalism in Mexico City. She has collaborated with the international agency Associated Press (AP), Revista Replicante and Reforma. In addition to being a photojournalist, she is a writer. In Cozumel, where she has lived for four years, she has initiated the Itinerant Poetry movement to promote the authors of the island. This is how she began her photographic adventure of marine life.  In the images of Vida Marina, the photographer captures the essence of the animals and the precise moment to take the photograph. One of the most striking photos of this project is a white turtle that seems to be flying; the reflection of light on the water generates the appearance of small scattered clouds and, because of the position, the turtle's flippers are transformed into wings.
