    La gran importancia que tuvo el culto al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús (SCJ) se debió a que fue utilizado por los sublevados de 1936 para legitimarse y posteriormente consolidar su gobierno. Hasta 1943, el SCJ fue manipulado para dotar de sobrenaturalidad a la guerra civil y al líder rebelde, Franco. Este culto ya se encontraba internalizado por gran parte del pueblo español, de allí la avidez de los “nacionales” por apropiarse de la celebración. Asimismo, Franco fue considerado un enviado divino y protector del SCJ que había sido ultrajado por los “ateos” republicanos. A través del análisis de fuentes de gran valor documental como la revista Reinaré en España, los boletines religiosos oficiales y periódicos tales como Pensamiento Alavés, Ecclesia, Azul, Imperio y El Alcázar, intentaré adentrarme en el complejo y simbólico análisis del culto al SCJ

    The great importance of devotion to the Sacred Heart was because it was used by the rebels in 1936 to legitimize and consolidate his power later. Until 1943 the Sacred Heart was manipulated to provide a sense of supernaturalness to the civil war and to the rebel leader, Franco. This cult was already internalized by much of the Spaniards, hence the avidity of “nationals” to appropriate the celebration. Fuerthermore Franco also was considered a divine sent and a protector of the Sacred Heart who had been outraged by “atheists” Republicans. Through the analysis of sources of great documentary value as the magazine Reinaré en España, the Official religious bulletins and newspapers such as Pensamiento Alavés, Ecclesia, Azul, Imperio, El Alcázar I will try to delve into the complex and symbolic analysis of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
