Resumen de Algunes obres atribuïbles al pintor Evaristo Muñoz Estarlich a Vila- real

A partir de noves observacions i reflexions sobre algunes pintures presents a la ciutat de Vila-real, que ja van ser estudiades per l’autor en el seu moment, s’efectua la seua adjudicació al pintor Evaristo Muñoz. Quatre formen part de la decoració de la Capella del Crist de l’Hospital i representen escenes de la Passió. En l’altra, Triomf de sant Tomàs d’Aquino, molt deteriorada, provinent del desaparegut convent de monges dominiques i d’atractiva iconografia, ha estat possible veure la firma i datació, a partir de la manipulació digital de les fotografies obtingudes per a l’ocasió. S’amplia així el corpus d’obres atribuïdes a aquest interessant pintor de la primera meitat del segle XVIII i també el coneixement del patrimoni historico-artístic vila-realenc i valencià.

Based on new observations and reflections on some of the paintings present in the city of Vila-real, which were already studied by the author at the time, they are awarded to the painter Evaristo Muñoz. Four are part of the decoration of the Hospital Chapel of Christ and depict scenes from the Passion. In the other, Triumph of St. Thomas Aquin0, very deteriorated, from the defunct convent of Dominican nuns and attractive iconography, it has been possible to see the signature and dating, from the digital manipulation of the photographs obtained for the occasion . This expands the corpus of works attributed to this interesting painter of the first half of the 18th century and also the knowledge of the historicalartistic heritage of Vila-real and Valencia.
