  Examinaremos el cambio de mentalidad que ocurrió entre los siglos XIV y XV en torno al abandono de la idea de trascendencia y de inmor­talidad del alma, propias del ethos medieval; por una creciente preocupación por la muerte, la corrupción del cuerpo y la importancia de la vida terrena como plano de autorrealización individual, que finalmente daría paso a la Mo­dernidad.

  We will examine the shift that occurred between the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries regarding the abandonment of the idea of transcendence and soul immortality, typical of the medieval ethos; for a growing concern on death, the corruption of the body and the importance of earthly life as a realm of individual self-realization, which would finally give birth to Modernity.
