El presente estudio tiene como propósito central revisar los diversos enfoques, teorías y debates sobre el proceso de romanización. Se otorgará un énfasis especial a los paradigmas de las dos últimas décadas y sus nuevas narrativas, centrándose en la teoría de la globalización. Además, se enfatizará cómo este fenómeno de interconexión multicultural y de redes proporciona un modelo para reestudiar la naturaleza y el funcionamiento del imperio romano. Un tema abierto, por cierto, todavía vigente.

The main purpose of this study is to review the different approaches, theories, and debates on the Romanization process. Special emphasis will be given to the paradigms of the last two decades and their new narratives, focusing on the theory of globalization. In addition, emphasis will also be placed on how this phenomenon of multicultural interconnectedness and networking provides a model for a new study of the nature and functioning of the Roman Empire. An open topic, indeed, that is still ongoing.
