  This article seeks to establish a dialogue between nonsense literature and Christian theology, focusing on Lewis Carroll's work "Alice in Wonderland." By closely examining the text and conducting a literature review, the article highlights themes with significant potential for theological discussion, notably the theme of time, an extensively debated subject during Carroll's era and one that he was well acquainted with. Exploring Carroll's narrative through the lens of Christian theology generates profound reflections on concepts like chronos and kairós, prompting discussions about the interplay between life's fleeting nature and the utilization of time. The article juxtaposes two concepts of time: the White Rabbit embodies relentless and urgent time, while the Mad Hatter embodies a subjective and pleasant time. Carroll's narrative encourages readers to engage in thought-provoking contemplations about time as they tumble into the surreal world of Wonderland.

  Este artigo tem como objetivo estabelecer, através de uma leitura atentiva e uma revisão de literatura, o diálogo entre a literatura nonsense e a teologia cristã a partir da obra de Lewis Carroll, Alice no País das Maravilhas. Na obra de Carroll destacam-se temas com grande potencial para a discussão teológica, dentre os quais destacaremos a questão do tempo, um tema altamente discutido nos dias de Carroll e com o qual ele estava familiarizado. A leitura do texto de Carroll à luz da teologia cristã levanta ricas reflexões teológicas a respeito de chronos e kairós, bem como suscita discussões a respeito da tensão entre a efemeridade da vida e o aproveitamento do tempo. O artigo compara duas concepções de tempo, mostrando como o Coelho Branco representa o tempo implacável e urgente, enquanto o Chapeleiro Maluco simboliza um tempo subjetivo e pausado. Carroll convida os leitores a explorar curiosas reflexões sobre o tempo enquanto caem na realidade absurda do País das Maravilhas.
