  La bajante extraordinaria del río Paraná, los incendios que azotaron las islas que allí se encuentran, las disputas por leyes de protección a humedales, conflictos de tierras y emergencias sanitarias de diversos tipos, tornaron en centro de mira del debate público distintas regiones del Delta, región que comprende las llanuras de inundación del río Paraná, en las cuales se desarrollan humedales continentales de origen fluvial. En el presente número de Etcétera tuvimos la oportunidad de entrevistar a dos antropólogues litoraleñes y becaries doctorales del CONICET, que se encuentran actualmente viviendo y trabajando en el territorio del Delta del Paraná. Macarena Romero Acuña y Casimiro Tommasi se sumaron a participar en nuestra sección Conversas para discutir algunas problemáticas socioambientales y emergencias de diversas índoles que afectan este territorio argentino. ¿Qué es el Delta? ¿Cómo seconforma y quiénes habitan la/s isla/s? ¿Cómo se conjuga humo, fuego, agua, conflictos de tierra y COVID-19 en las distintas orillas del Paraná? ¿Cuáles son los dispositivos estatales que intentan regularlo y cuáles son los reclamos ambientales por parte de actores urbanos?

  The extraordinary descent of the Paraná River, the fires that have hit the islands located there, the disputes over wetland protection laws, land conflicts and sanitary emergencies of various kinds, have made different regions of the Delta, a region that includes the flood plains of the Paraná River, where continental wetlands of fluvial origin are developed, the center of public debate. In the present issue of Etcétera we had the opportunity to interview two coastal anthropologists and doctoral fellows from CONICET, who are currently living and working in the territory of the Paraná Delta. Macarena Romero Acuña and Casimiro Tommasi joined us in our Conversations section to discuss some socio-environmental problems and emergencies of various kinds that affect this Argentine territory. What is the Delta? How does it form and who inhabits the island/s? How does it combine smoke, fire, water, land conflicts and COVID-19 on the different banks of the Paraná? What are the state devices that try to regulate it and what are the environmental claims by urban actors?
