Resumen de La ciencia sigilográfica y su aporte al estudio diplomático del documento

La Sigilografía, en la actualidad, tiene rango de disciplina universitaria científico-técnica de tipo histórico-cultural, artístico, jurídico-diplomático y archivístico-bibliotecario y resulta imprescindible para algunas investigaciones históricas, por razón de su método, campo y contenido, pero sobre todo por el aporte complementario que dispensa a las Ciencias y Técnicas Historiográficas. El presente artículo aborda el estudio de los sellos y su importancia en la “validatio” y la “autenticatio”, para determinar la autenticidad de los diplomas.

Sigillography, nowadays, has the rank of scientific-technical discipline of historical-cultural, artistic, legal-diplomatic and archival-library type and is essential for some historical research, because of its method, field and content, but especially for the complementary contribution it provides to the Historiographic Sciences and Techniques. This article deals with the study of seals and their importance in the "validatio" and "autenticatio", to determine the authenticity of diplomas.
