Resumen de ¿Caerá el Perú en “la trampa económica” de China por la Iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta?

El año 2023 es el décimo aniversario del lanzamiento de “la Franja y la Ruta”. El Perú firmó el memorando de entendimiento sobre esta iniciativa con China en 2019, convirtiéndose en el 19º país de América Latina en sumarse a ella. En el marco de esta iniciativa propuesta por el presidente chino Xi Jinping, la cooperación comercial y de inversión entre los dos países se estrecha cada vez más. Sin embargo, algunos comentarios sugieren que el Perú corre el riesgo de caer en la trampa económica de China. Para disipar esta preocupación, este trabajo analiza la esencia intrínseca de “la Franja y la Ruta”, la intención subjetiva de la política china hacia América Latina, así como la realidad objetiva de las relaciones económicas sino-peruanas. Las conclusiones son claras: esta iniciativa china no genera ni amenazas ni discriminaciones para ningún país, el gigante asiático tiene como objetivo desarrollar relaciones saludables con los países latinoamericanos, incluido el Perú, y este país sudamericano se beneficia mucho de la cooperación económica con China. Por todo esto, “la Franja y la Ruta” no tiene nada que ver con la supuesta “trampa económica” contra el Perú.

The year 2023 is the tenth anniversary of the launch of “the Belt and Road”. Peru signed the memorandum of understanding with China on this initiative in 2019, becoming the 19th country in Latin America to join the initiative. Within the framework of this initiative proposed by the Chinese president Xi Jinping, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries has become increasingly close. However, some comments suggest that Peru risks falling into the trap of the Chinese economy. In order to dispel this concern, this paper analyzes the intrinsic essence of the “the Belt and Road”, the subjective intention of China's policy towards Latin America and the objective reality of economic relations between China and Peru. The conclusion is clear: China’s initiative will not generate a threat or discrimination to any country, the goal of this Asian giant is to develop healthy relationships with Latin American countries, including Peru, and this South American country benefits greatly from economic cooperation with China. For all these reasons, “the Belt and Road” is not related to the so-called “economic trap” against Peru.
