La integración social de los inmigrantes chinos en la España contem-poránea: un análisis desde el trabajo de campo en Barcelona

    Los inmigrantes chinos son actualmente el grupo más numeroso de inmigrantes asiáticos en España. Sin embargo, a pesar de ser una parte importante de la población migrante en España, es el grupo más desconocido y difícil de integrarse en la sociedad local a ojos de los españoles. Por eso, este artículo adopta una combinación de métodos de investigación cualitativos y cuantitativos, combinándose cuestionarios y entrevistas semiestructuradas, para investigar y analizar la situación actual de la integración social de los inmigrantes chinos en España, tomando Barcelona como ejemplo. Los resultados muestran que, aunque los inmigrantes chinos están básicamente bien equipados para la integración social en términos de condiciones económicas y tienen cierto conocimiento de la cultura española, su participación en actividades sociales y políticas es relativamente baja, lo que dificulta su mayor integración en la sociedad local. No obstante, a medida que van cambiando las generaciones, el nivel de integración social de los inmigrantes chinos aumenta gradualmente. Mejorar el nivel educativo general de los descendientes de chinos, completar la transformación de su estructura ocupacional y elevar aún más su estatus e influencia social son claves para acelerar el proceso de integración social.

    Chinese immigrants are the largest group of Asian immigrants in Spain currently. However, as an important part of the migrant population in Spain, Chinese immigrants are the most unknown and difficult to integrate into the local society in the eyes of the Spanish people. Therefore, this article adopts a research method, the combination of qualitative and quantitative questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, to investigate and analyze the current situation of social integration of Chinese immigrants in Spain while taking Barcelona as an example. The results show that, although Chinese immigrants are basically well equipped for social integration in terms of economic conditions and know something about Spanish culture, their participation in social and political activities is relatively low, which hinders their further integration into the local society. However, as the generational change, the level of social integration of Chinese immigrants gradually increases. Improving the general educational level of Chinese descendants, completing the transformation of their occupational structure and further raising their social status and influence are key to accelerating the process of social integration.
