  • Resumen
    • This article extracts a set of simple tools from the performance modelling of the elements which make up the logistic system of a container terminal in a hub port. These tools will allow us to give a heuristic solution to sea operations by optimizing the assigned resources and gauging their suitable quantity in order tominimize idle times and maximize productivity. Our work is focused on dealing with the problem of each independent element, by achieving a suitable performance level for each of them without causing waiting times in the rest. The process of resources assignation has been denominated Logistic OptimizationModel (simplified). The application of the model could increase the global productivity of the terminal by approximately 5%.
