    En el presente trabajo se plantearán varias cuestiones. Por un lado, se revisará la relación que existe entre el cambio climático y el sector agropecuario, teniendo en cuenta que nos encontramos ante una actividad que presenta dos caras: tanto la de emisora de GEIs, como la de sumidero de CO2.

    Por otro lado, cómo, este sector, a través de sus prácticas se ha convertido en el garante de la salud de las personas, dado que también lo es de una alimentación suficiente, saludable y sostenible.

    Finalmente, se reconocerá otro indudable -y cada vez más urgente- papel de este sector como dinamizador del mundo rural.

    In the following paper, several questions will be raised. On the one hand, the relationship between climate change and the agricultural sector will be reviewed, taking into account that we are dealing with an activity that has two faces: both as a GHG emitter and as a CO2 sink.

    On the other hand, how this sector, through its practices, has become the guarantor of people's health, given that it is also the guarantor of a sufficient, healthy and sustainable diet. Finally, another undoubted -and increasingly urgent- role of this sector as a revitalizer of the rural world will be recognized.
