    Pues bien, la obra que ahora nos ocupa cumple a cabalidad con lo ofrecido en el título, es decir, trata sobre los janambres y su manera de vivir en el periodo en el que existieron, y también presenta una obra de teatro. Al inicio nos cuenta cómo su preocupación por la conservación del patrimonio arqueológico y biocultural que existe en Gómez Farías, Tamaulipas, de donde él es originario, lo llevó a percatarse de que la población joven que ahí habita hoy en día, que ocasionalmente observa incólume cómo se destruye ese patrimonio, poco o nada saben sobre los antiguos habitantes de esa región. Como declarara Manuel Gándara parafraseando a Freeman Tilden “nadie conoce lo que no entiende y nadie cuida lo que no conoce”, así que Giovanni Chávez se dio a la tarea de investigar sobre los antiguos habitantes, de su manera de vivir y de elaborar un medio de comunicación efectivo para enseñarles a las nuevas generaciones quiénes eran y cómo vivían los janambres, en el mismo territorio que ahora ellos habitan.

    Well, the work that concerns us now fully complies with what is offered in the title, that is, it deals with the janambres and their way of living in the period in which they existed, and also presents a play. At the beginning, he tells us how his concern for the conservation of the archaeological and biocultural heritage that exists in Gómez Farías, Tamaulipas, where he is from, led him to realize that the young population that lives there today, who occasionally observes unharmed how that heritage is destroyed, they know little or nothing about the ancient inhabitants of that region. As Manuel Gándara declared, paraphrasing Freeman Tilden, "nobody knows what they don't understand and nobody takes care of what they don't know", so Giovanni Chávez set about the task of researching the ancient inhabitants, their way of life and creating an environment of effective communication to teach the new generations who the janambres were and how they lived, in the same territory that they now inhabit.
