La gestión social de la biblioteca universitaria en la preservación de su patrimonio institucional.

    La actividad bibliotecaria por si sola favorece la integración social, principalmente a grupos desfavorecidos y  le confiere al profesional de la información un papel integrador dentro de la sociedad, donde brinda servicios a todos por igual, disminuyendo de esta forma también la brecha digital. Si la biblioteca cuenta con espacios de encuentro y recursos de información, sin interés económico además y accesible a todos los colectivos, va adquiriendo un compromiso social en la construcción de espacios físicos y digitales para su gestión social, calidad de vida de los usuarios, y la preservación de su patrimonio institucional. De esta investigación resultaron las dificultades variadas que afrontan los investigadores de las carreras tecnológicas para lograr publicar sus investigaciones y la importancia de los repositorios institucionales para este fin. Se demuestra como la biblioteca como gestora de un recurso necesario, puede garantizar que este recurso llegue a todos utilizando su responsabilidad social y su ética profesional, promoviendo la igualdad de oportunidades. Se muestran las acciones empleadas por la biblioteca universitaria para lograr la preservación del patrimonio científico institucional. Se recogieron los profesores que más han editado libros por facultades y contabilizado una gran cantidad de publicaciones que no están registradas en la institución en nuestras bases de datos y por tanto afecta su visibilidad para las futuras investigaciones, demostrando la incidencia negativa de este hecho en  la cultura informacional y  la importancia de la gestión social de la biblioteca en defensa del patrimonio científico institucional publicado y no publicado (documentos de archivo).

    The librarian activity favors the social integration and it confers the professional of the information an integrative role in society, where it offers services equally to all. The results of this investigation showed the difficulties that the investigators of the technological careers confront to publish their investigations and the importance of the institutional repositories for this purpose. It is demonstrated that the library as agent of a necessary resource (the information), it can guarantee that this resource arrives to all using its social responsibility and its professional ethics, promoting opportunities´ equality. It is shown the actions used by the university library to achieve the knowledge administration and the preservation of the institutional scientific patrimony. It was selected the professors who had published books the most for faculties and also counted a great quantity of publications that are not registered in our institution databases. Therefore it affects their visibility for the future investigations, demonstrating the negative incidence of this fact in the information culture and the importance of the library social administration in defense of the institutional scientific patrimony.
