Políticas de ampliación de cobertura en México: entre alcanzables y ambiciosas

    La presente reflexión pretende ser un punto de discusión de las políticas de ampliación de cobertura en la educación superior que han sido implementadas durante el actual Gobierno de México y de Yucatán. Específicamente, la mirada de este análisis se concentra en la revisión de literatura de dos vertientes interesantes de abordar: las estrategias prioritarias que plantean la creación de nuevas instituciones educativas públicas de educación superior y el otorgamiento de becas a los estudiantes en situación de vulnerabilidad social y económica; y las metas para la ampliación de la tasa bruta de cobertura que se establecieron al inicio de ambos gobiernos. Los focos de análisis se encuentran guiados hacia una crítica de cómo estas estrategias y metas han sido desarrolladas durante la primera mitad del gobierno federal encabezado por Andrés Manuel López Obrador y el estatal a cargo de Mauricio Vila Dosal, y cuáles son los indicadores de avance que hoy día se tienen para identificar las tendencias y posibles implicaciones para el panorama de la educación superior.

    This reflection aims to be a point of discussion of the policies to expand coverage in higher education that have been implemented during the current Government of Mexico and Yucatan. Specifically, the look of this analysis focuses on the literature review of two interesting aspects: the priority strategies that propose the creation of new public educational institutions of higher education and the granting of scholarships to students in a high situation of social and economic vulnerability; and the government's goals for expanding the gross coverage rate that were established at the beginning of the six-year term both at the national and state perspective. The focus of analysis is guided towards a critique of how these strategies and goals have been developed during the first half of the federal government headed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the state government headed by Mauricio Vila Dosal, and which are the progress indicators that today exist to identify trends and possible implications for the landscape of higher education.
