Resumen de La concepción de ciencia desde las cosmovisiones del siglo XXI

  Este artículo pretende dilucidar el concepto de ciencia desde las cosmovisiones premoderna, moderna, posmoderna, transmoderna y holista para, así, orientar el proceso de investigación científica en el mundo académico. Las diferentes formas de definir la ciencia confunden el quehacer de los investigadores, cuando no se toma conciencia sobre la importancia y trascendencia de la cosmovisión en la que se asientan las convicciones sobre el conocimiento en general y el conocimiento científico en particular. Los agudos y complejos problemas que aquejan a la humanidad exigen soluciones integrales y urgentes, soluciones que desafíen tanto a los conocimientos científicos y tecnológicos convencionales producidos por la ciencia oficial positivista y mecanicista de la modernidad como a los conocimientos científicos desarrollados por la cosmovisión posmoderna de simples significados en una perspectiva nihilista. Esta situación, desde luego, plantea la necesidad de trascender e integrar los conocimientos científicos y tecnológicos hacia una kosmovisión holista.

  This article aims to elucidate the concept of science from the pre-modern, modern, post-modern, trans-modern and holistic worldviews and thus guide the process of scientific research in the academic world. The different ways of defining science confuse the work of researchers, and even more so when there is no awareness of the importance and transcendence of the worldview in which convictions about knowledge in general and scientific knowledge in particular are based. The acute and complex problems that afflict humanity demand urgent and comprehensive solutions, solutions that challenge both the conventional scientific and technological knowledge produced by the official positivist and mechanistic science of modernity and the scientific knowledge developed by the post-modern worldview of simple meanings in a nihilistic perspective. This situation certainly raises the need to transcend and integrate scientific and technological knowledge towards a holistic kosmovision.
