La UADY en la literatura científica registrada en Web of Science y Scopus: 1900-2016

    Se analiza la literatura científica con adscripción a la Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán registrada en Web of Science y Scopus de 1900-2016, para determinar los crecimientos de esta institución en términos de producción e impacto científico, así como la estructura organizacional que conforma la universidad. El trabajo se apoya en la teoría bibliométrica cuantitativa dando lugar a la generación de diversos indicadores en complemento con la aplicación de redes bibliométricas para definir la conformación de los primeros grupos de investigación en la UADY. Las diferencias entre bases de datos son significativa, el 23% de trabajos y 13% de citas proviene de Scopus. La UADY muestra progresos significativos consecuencia del desarrollo de capital científico logrado y, el incremento de investigadores en el Sistema Nacional.

    I analyze the scientific literature generated by professors from Autonomous University of Yucatan (UADY) which has been registered in Web of Science and Scopus in the period 1900-2016. I determine the growth of this production and its scientific impact in terms of the UADY institutional organization. The study is based on the quantitative bibliometric theory, leading to the generation of several indicators and bibliometric networks associated to the conformation of the first research groups of UADY. I find that the difference between both databases is significant: 23% of the papers and 13% of citations come from Scopus. UADY shows an increasing scientific production because of the development of its scientific human resources as well as the increase in its faculty members in the National System of Researchers.
