Resumen de Evaluación de un programa de tutoría en el nivel superior

  En el presente estudio de tipo descriptivo, se presentan los resultados de la evaluación de un programa de tutoría en el nivel superior. La población estuvo constituida por 14 profesores – tutores y 65 alumnos de nuevo ingreso. Se utilizaron dos instrumentos diseñados para fines de la investigación, uno dirigido a profesores y el otro a los alumnos.

  Se encontró que el 78% de los tutores evaluaron como satisfactoria la experiencia de la tutoría; un 57% manifestó que aceptó el nombramiento de tutor por considerar que era una labor importante.

  Por otra parte, el 83% de los alumnos encuestados percibió que sus tutores reconocían su valor como personas; un 77% reportó que sus tutores mostraron interés ante sus dudas y situaciones académicas. Finalmente, tanto profesores – tutores como alumnos reportan beneficios en cuanto al programa de tutorías.

  The results of the evaluation of a tutorial program of higher education are presented in this study of descriptive nature. The population was made up of 14 teachers-tutors and 65 newly registered students. Two instruments designed for the purpose of the research were used, one addressed to the teachers and the other to the students.

  It was found that 78% of the tutors evaluated the tutorial experience as satisfactory; 57% stated that they had accepted the appointment of tutor because they considered it to be an important task.

  On the other hand, 83% of the surveyed students perceived that their tutors recognized their value as people; 77% reported that their tutors showed interest in their doubts and academic situations. Finally, both teachers-tutors and students reported benefits regarding the tutorial program.
