Cultura académica. La relación de sentido entre el académico y su institución

    En este artículo se analizan algunos rasgos importantes de la relación de sentido que surge entre el académico y su institución, como elemento importante de la cultura académica en las universidades. La recuperación de este proceso se dio a partir de la realización de entrevistas con académicos, en las que se abordaron tanto su trayectoria profesional y laboral, no sólo se buscó rescatar la parte académica y formal de los académicos, sino también recuperar el sentir del sujeto, la parte emotiva, el significado y sentido que los profesores imprimen a su trabajo, desde la cual narran su trayectoria, es decir, desde la subjetividad. Esta última es la que se presenta de manera específica en este artículo en el que de alguna manera se intenta recuperar la relación del académico con su institución, su significado y lo que representa.

    Por la naturaleza del estudio, se inscribe dentro de la línea de la sociología de las universidades en la que se busca abordar la construcción de los procesos colectivos, la configuración de los espacios, el análisis de los movimientos sociales, culturales, políticos y económicos, que de una u otra forma explican el desarrollo y la condición de las universidades y sus actores.

    Some significant features of the relation of sense that arises between the academic and his institution were analyzed in this paper as an important element of the academic culture in universities. The recovery of this process was given after carrying out interviews with academics, in which their professional and work trajectory were undertaken, not just to rescue the academic and formal part of the teachers but also to recover the feeling of the subject, the sensitive part, the meaning and sense professors transmit to their work, from where they narrate their trajectory, that is to say, from subjectivity. The latter is presented here in a specific manner, in which somehow it is intended to recover the relation of the academic with his institution, its meaning, and what it represents.

    Given the nature of the study, this is set along the lines of the universities’ Sociology, in which the purpose is to approach the construction of the collective processes, the configuration of spaces, the analysis of social, cultural, political and economic movements, that in one way or another explain the development and condition of the universities and their leading people.
