    El propósito de la realización de esta investigación fue describir la Educación Bilingüe (Español-Inglés) que se imparte en el nivel primaria en algunas escuelas particulares del Estado de Yucatán.

    Los resultados obtenidos pretendieron sentar las bases para futuras investigaciones sobre el tema que permitieran precisar de manera más concreta la naturaleza de este tipo de educación cuya implementación en nuestro medio es un suceso reciente. Por otra parte, dichos resultados permitirían conocer las necesidades de los sujetos que participan en la impartición de Educación Bilingüe y ayudarían a determinar las implicaciones de este tipo de educación para planear estrategias y políticas educativas que condujeran al mejoramiento de la calidad del proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje de la Educación Primaria Bilingüe.

    The purpose of this investigation was to describe the Bilingual Education (Spanish-English) that is taught at elementary level in some private schools in the State of Yucatan. The obtained results sought to establish the basis for future investigations on the topic that would allow to specify in a more concrete way the nature of this type of education whose implementation in our area a recent event. On the other hand, these results would allow to know the needs of the people who participate in teaching Bilingual Education and they would help to determine the implications of this type of education to plan strategies and educational policies that would lead to the improvement of the quality of the teaching-learning process of Bilingual-elementary Education.
