Resumen de Familia y escuela en las culturas mexicana y norteamericana

  Este artículo tiene como objetivo mostrar algunas diferencias que tienen las culturas mexicana y norteamericana con respecto al significado e importancia del papel que tiene la familia en ellas. Se hace una breve revisión de las funciones de la familia, así como su significado e importancia, considerando a la familia como una institución que colabora en el proceso de socialización de sus miembros. Se describe la familia mexicana y la familia norteamericana desde la perspectiva de su acercamiento con la escuela. Finalmente, se presenta una conclusión.

  This article has as objective to show some differences that the Mexican and North American cultures have with regard to the meaning and importance of the role of the family in them. A brief revision of the functions of the family is made, as well as its meaning and importance, considering the family as an institution that collaborates in the process of socialisation of its members. The Mexican family and the North American family are described from the perspective of their approach with the school. Finally, a conclusion is presented.
