La retención y su relación con las estrategias de aprendizaje

    Se comparó la ejecución de tres grupos en una prueba de conocimientos inmediata y en una prueba demorada. Dos de los grupos fueron entrenados previamente en el uso de una estrategia de aprendizaje diferente y el tercer grupo sirvió como grupo control. Los tres grupos leyeron la misma información y respondieron la misma prueba.

    Participaron 279 estudiantes de primer año de preparatoria, seleccionados al azar y asignados aleatoriamente a uno de los tres grupos. En general se observaron diferencias de rendimiento tanto inter como intra grupos en las estrategias evaluadas y con el texto utilizado. Finalmente se discuten algunas posibles implicaciones teóricas y metodológicas relativas a estos hallazgos.

    The performance of three groups, in both an inmediate and delayed, test was compared. Two of the groups were previously trained in the use of a different learning stategy wile the third one was the control group. All three groups read the same information and responded to the same test. Two hundred and seventy nine students from the firts year of preparatory school participated, they were randomly selected and assigned to one of the three groups. Inter-groups and intra-groups differences of performance were generally observed in the evaluated strategies and in the text used. Finally, possible theoretical and methodological implications related to those findings are discussed.
