    El estudio de las relaciones entre los científicos sociales y la sociedad constituye una importante contribución a la evaluación de ala situación de las ciencias sociales en una coyuntura histórica dada. Entre los problemas a los que se enfrentan este tipo de estudio se encuentran la heterogeneidad intrínseca de la “ comunidad científica” y la diversidad de aspectos bajo los cuales se hace presente “la sociedad”. Este artículo examina diferentes elementos de estos problemas y aboga por el análisis sistemático de ellos.

    The study of the relationships between the social scientists and the society is an important contribution to the evaluation of the situation of the social sciences in a given historical moment. Among the problems such a study has to deal with, are the intrinsically heterogeneity of the “scientific community” and the diversity of aspects under which society appears. This article examines several elements of these problems and pleads for its systematic analysis.
