  Esta investigación consiste en el análisis de una serie de opiniones, artículos y experiencias para darnos un soporte actual de los factores socioculturales que intervienen en las puntuaciones del WISC-R de los niños mexicano-americanos. En primer lugar, se da la importancia actual a la comprensión de la población mexicano-americana, mostrando la creciente tasa de crecimiento de la población hispana en los Estados Unidos. En segundo lugar, se analiza un argumento sobre el verdadero significado de la palabra "Inteligencia" de Hebb (1949) y se incluye una explicación de por qué las pruebas de CI actuales podrían no estar midiendo la verdadera inteligencia. Luego, se analizan y critican algunos artículos actuales que suponen factores "genéticos" o "socioculturales" en la inteligencia mexicano-americana. Y finalmente, se sugiere la búsqueda de la mejor manera de crear un test de CI - WISC algo imparcial, adquiriendo un mejor conocimiento de los factores socioculturales mexicano-americanos como: El ambiente del hogar, la tasa de aculturación, el sistema de valores del entorno socioeconómico, la familia y su interacción verbal.

  This investigaction consists of analyzing a series of views, articles and experiements to give us some current support of the sociocultural factors involved in the WISC-R scores of Mexican - American children. Firts, the current importance to understanding the Mexican - American polulation is given, by showing the increasing growth rate of the hispanic population in the United States. Second, an argument about the true significance of the word “Intelligence” by Hebb ( 1949) is analyzed and included is a n explaination as to why today’s IQ tests might not be measuring true intelligence. Then, some current articles that assume “genetic” or “sociocultural” factors in Mexican - American intelligence are analyzed and critiqued. And finally, a search for the best way to create a somewhat unbiased WISC - IQ test is suggested by acquiring better knowledge about the Mexican - American sociocultural factors such as : Home environment, acculturation rate, social economic background value system, the family and it’s verbal interaction.
