This text aims to understand how discussions about knowledge and the curriculum for/in High School are positioned, in dissertations and theses produced between 1999 and 2015. The methodology of this work is based on bibliographic and documentary research, the latter carried out in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) database. The operation in this database was guided by a question, that is, what readings on curriculum and knowledge are being produced to study High School? It is worth highlighting that this operation will be analyzed basedon Critical Curriculum Theory, with the initial hypothesis being that the readings produced by the identified dissertations and theses are focused on the function, particularly, prescribed for this stage of basic education, namely, prepare for the job market.

Este texto tem por objetivo apreender como estão posicionadas as discussões sobre o conhecimento e o currículo para/no Ensino Médio, em dissertações e teses produzidas entre 1999 e 2015. A metodologia deste trabalho está fundada em pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, esta última realizada na base de dados da Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD). A operação nesta base de dados orientou-se por uma indagação, isto é, quais as leituras sobre currículo e conhecimento estão sendo produzidas para estudar o Ensino Médio? Vale destacar, que esta operação será analisada com base na Teoria Crítica do Currículo, tendo como hipótese inicial, que as leituras produzidas pelas dissertações e teses identificadas, estejam voltadas para a função, particularmente, prescrita para esta etapa da educação básica, qual seja, preparar para o mercado de trabalho.
