Análisis estructural de la vegetación en el gradiente altitudinal y entre vertientes de la región de Sumapaz, Colombia

    De 31 levantamientos ubicados en dos transec- · tos con variación altitudinal entre 550 y 3.500 m en la vertiente oriental y 470 y 3.500 m en la occidental del macizo del Sumapaz, se utilizaron los valores de cobertura, número de individuos, riqueza y área basal para cada estrato en la vegetación boscosa con el fin de evaluar la variación por efecto de la disimetría (exposición) de las dos vertientes por el gradiente altitudinal en las tres regiones de vida, Tropical, Subandina y Andina, o por la interacción vertiente-región de vida. Los valores de cobertura del estrato arbustivo varían por efecto de las regiones de vida, mientras que el estrato herbáceo lo hacen por la interacción vertiente-región, de vida. El número de individuos y la riqueza de especies en el estrato subarbóreo varían entre regiones de vida a lo largo del gradiente altitudinal. Los valores de área basal en los estratos arbóreos no se asocian a ninguno de los factores analizados.

    In 31 plots of two transects with an altitudinal variation before 550 and 3.,500 m on the East flank and between 470 and 3.500 m. on the west flank of the Sumapaz massy, were determined values of cover, density, richness and basal area of the arboreal vegetation for each strata, with the aim of evaluate if there are changes by effect of two flanks, East and West, of three life-regions, Tropical, Subandina y Andina, or to the interaction flank-life-region. The cover values of the shrubs strata change by effect of the life-regions, meanwhile the herbaceal strata changes by the interaction flank-life-region. The density and the richness of species of the subarboreal strata change between life-regions. The basal area values do not effect for the factors in the arboreal strata.
